I went to the Neuro – Opthamologist yesterday and received less than desired words. I shared on Facebook the results for two reasons. One, so people I bump into might forgive me if I do not recognize them. Second, people are interested and Facebook provides an easy way to communicate with the masses.
Interesting to me though are the responses Christians give that sound and or feel trite. Since I have acknowledged the partial blindness I have, the Christians want to deny its reality. In our culture of name it/claim it I have broken an important rule. I have stated the natural order of decay that is taking place in this body– as God created the body.
I know God can supernaturally heal me. But short of God supernaturally intervening, I will remain partially blind with the result of being unable to ever drive.
I am not cursing myself by acknowledging the natural law God instituted in the world. God also instituted gravity. If I let go of a ball, it will drop down. God could miraculously make it go up, but unless God supernaturally intervenes, the ball will go down. God could send a wind to change the trajectory, or even an object (Man could to change the path of the ball (like with a bat). But my lack of faith in God would not typically be the cause of the change of direction. It would be the natural laws of order God, Himself established.
I wonder how much of the world’s skepticism of God is because Christians don’t easily acknowledge the God instituted order of the world when we don’t like it.
