I have a friend shose son was in a car accident. He is in a coma and my friend has been told it is more like a marathon than a sprint. As I pondered my experience, I think it is more comparable to mowing the lawn. There is a lot of time just going around in circles. One swipe is nothing. Even many circles might not get you there. If you stop befor it is done, the results are bad. You just have to keep going whether progress is visible or not. You must go on even when tired or thirsty. Eventually, that last lap will complete the work adnnd provide the avenue for enjoying the product of your work. To stop before then is to only draw attention to an incomplete job.
